Peter Wyles
VP & General Manager
Peter Wyles is the Vice President & General Manager, of Bayer Diabetes Care in Sunnyvale, California, responsible for the A1CNow+ business unit. Peter was previously the Vice President & General Manager of Bayer Consumer Care's operations in Canada. From 1997 - 2003, Peter served in the Bayer HealthCare operations in Japan as the head of pharmaceutical marketing and as the General Manager of the Consumer Care Division. Peter began his career with Bayer in Germany in 1995.
Prior to joining Bayer, he held positions in clinical trial management and international licensing at Asahi Chemical Industry Company, Ltd., in Tokyo, Japan. Peter served in the United States Marine Corps and holds a BA from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management in Arizona.
Joseph Ruggiero
Sr. Director of Manufacturing Technology
Joseph Ruggiero has more than 30 years of experience in product development of diagnostic and consumer health care products within Bayer Healthcare. Joseph has had functional and project management responsibilities.
His work has emphasized product development and manufacturing of high volume medical diagnostic systems. He also has extensive experience in design of in-vitro diagnostic equipment. Joseph holds several medical device patents. He holds a BA in Engineering from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
